Virtual Town Hall

Presented by Network for Nature

May 21, 2020

6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Conservation From Home

This event is FREE and open to all.

The zoo’s young professionals' network, Network for Nature, is putting their spin on our second Town Hall!

Join us on May 21 to hear from zoo experts on how they are doing #ConservationFromHome! The evening will include a panel discussion and a cocktail demo by Ethan Stowell Restaurants.

No WPZ event would be complete without an animal encounter! Network for Nature has been invited to vote on a name for one of the zoo's new Humboldt penguin chicks. On May 21, we will announce the winning name and give you and update on our feathered friends.

Network For Nature

At Network for Nature, we are committed to supporting the Zoo’s mission to save wildlife and encourage everyone to make conservation a priority in their daily lives—even during social distancing!

This year, the Network has chosen to highlight orangutans and the challenges they face, such as deforestation and poaching.

One way we can do #ConservationFromHome, is by downloading the Palm Oil Shopping app to check to see which products use ingredients that are orangutan friendly.

Cocktails for Conservation!

Thank you to Ethan Stowell Restaurants for supporting this event with a special happy hour demonstration.

To make the drink featured in our program you will need: Vodka, lime juice, simple syrup, fresh basil and ginger beer.

This is a special cocktail called Championship Pony that will be included on ESR's new Tavoláta menu.

The zoo is temporarily closed following state recommendations to help slow the spread of coronavirus.
