Matt - Assistant
Hi! My name is Matt and I am very excited to be spending my first summer at Woodland Park Zoo. I was born and raised in Seattle and love singing/acting. I recently made the decision to move to NYC and am in my 1st year studying musical theatre performance at Circle in the Square Theatre School. I also have a BA in Drama and Communication from the UW. I am very excited to be back in Seattle for the summer and can’t wait to have good times with the campers and staff at DDC.

Lauren W - Instructor
Hello, I'm Lauren! Last year I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a B.A. in Theatre Education and a teaching certificate. I have been working at the Seattle Children's Theatre ever since. This is my first full summer here at the zoo and I couldn't be more excited about it! Two of my favorite things to do are to play drama games and hang out at the orangutan exhibit.

Kate - Instructor
Hello All! My name is Kate, and I am so thrilled to be returning to DDC this summer! I'm a Seattle-based theatre artist, who also teaches drama for the Seattle Country Day School in Queen Anne. I have also worked at the zoo throughout the winter teaching classes and camps. When not acting or teaching, I can often be found baking cookies, frolicking in the park, or playing with my one-eyed cat Pretty.

Kristina - Assistant
Hi there! My name is Kristina, I recently graduated Whitworth University. This is my first summer at Woodland Park Zoo. I look forward to all the fun adventures that are to be had, as well as learning new fun facts about the animals. I enjoy reading and jig-saw puzzles. I love working with kids and learning together through the lens of the creative arts. I cannot wait to spend my summer days smiling at the lions or waddling outside the penguin exhibit.

My name is Lauren and I'm a recent graduate from the University of Evansville. I grew up in rural Indiana, and I was heavily involved in music and theatre throughout my childhood. I am relatively new to Seattle, my first experience being with Seattle Children's Theatre last summer. I love teaching both in classroom and in camp-style programs. I also enjoy eating great food, travelling, movies, and sloths.

Britt - DDC Coordinator
Hi! My name is Britt and I'm so excited to be back for my eighth summer as a Little Cheese! I'm a native Seattle girl and spent lots of time exploring the zoo when I was camper-sized. As a grown-up, I graduated from UW and now I'm on faculty at Seattle Children's Theatre! Most of the year I tour the country performing in lots of different shows. When you see me, ask me why I think the slow loris is the coolest animal on the planet!
