A Zookeeper's Life For Me
Welcome to the exciting world of the Night Keeper! On this overnight or evening adventure, you’ll investigate the triumphs of caring for some of the smallest and largest animals on earth. How is a gorilla transported? A lion fed? A sick animal healed or a healthy animal made to feel at home? Your group will learn about life as a zookeeper while exploring the impressive range of animal care offered at Woodland Park Zoo.
Zoo Scene Investigation
Grab a flock of your favorite ‘detective’ friends and join zoo staff to unravel the Mystery of the Missing Penguin. Has he flown the coop? Did someone plan the perfect penguin caper? Is this a case of ‘fowl’ play? Follow a trail of evidence on a guided zoo tour to determine whodunnit.
Stealthy Science: Research after Dark
Join a group of fellow field researchers in training for an evening or overnight expedition at the zoo. Learn about the amazing tools and techniques used by biologists to study animals in the wild. Hone your tracking skills and use real research equipment while prowling the zoo with your research team to see the wonders of the zoo at night through the eyes of a field biologist.
Scouting for Adventure
Scout groups participating in the Stealthy Science: Research after Dark program can earn an exclusive Field Research patch from the zoo or some age levels can work towards an established scout award.
