Zooper Day Camp

DETAILS

Our most popular camp, Zooper Day Camp offers 2 exciting themes each summer! Children ages 4-6 are eligible for the half-day session and children ages 5-9 are eligible for full-day. Camp themes do not have to occur in a specific order, however campers are limited to only one week of each theme. Check out summer 2018 themes below!

Animal Scientists: Are you a curious kid? Do you have a love for nature and a thirst for information? If you answered "yes" to these questions, then we want you to join us! Learn tricks of the trade and practice skills necessary to be an animal scientist in the wild or your own backyard.

Eco-Explorers: Travel the world without ever leaving the zoo! Learn about a few of the many bioclimatic zones on our planet and the animals and plants that have adapted to their unique features. Throughout the week campers will explore the zoo, engage in hands-on activities and play fun and educational games!

Classes & Camps Scholarships

adventure

Woodland Park Zoo is pleased to provide limited scholarship opportunities for eligible families towards zoo classes or day camp programs. Scholarship applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

For 2018 summer camps, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible as we will be reviewing applications approximately every 3 weeks until June 1 or when the majority of available funds have been awarded. After June 1, awards will be offered as new funds become available.

If we are unable to offer a scholarship during the initial review process, we will continue to consider your application for the remainder of 2018. Please understand that even if your application is accepted, Woodland Park Zoo is not always able to award the full requested scholarship amount and we may contact you with a partial scholarship offer. Unfortunately, due to the volume of applications received, we are unable to guarantee scholarships for all eligible families.

If you are interested in a scholarship for the Discoveries Day Camp program, you must apply through the Seattle Children's Theatre.
