Winter Break Camp

Kinder Camp: Animal Play


4-Day Winter Break Camp 


December 30-January 3

Description
From romping in leaves to pouncing on mom, animals play to learn… and so do kids! Through outdoor games, imaginative play, sensory exploration and visits to the animal habitats at the zoo, campers will explore the world of animal play. 
 

Please send your camper with appropriate gear to be comfortable throughout the day. This camp will take place outside rain or shine.

 

World Wide Webs


4-Day Winter Break Camp

Description
What does a blade of grass have to do with a coyote? Or a coyote with a hawk? The world is full of intricate webs that connect all living things. Through outdoor games, imaginative play, sensory exploration and visits to the animal habitats at the zoo, campers will explore worldwide webs. 

Please send your camper with appropriate gear to be comfortable throughout the day. This camp will take place outside rain or shine.

 

Mid-Winter Break Camp

Description
Bear cubs! It's time to poke your nose out of the den and explore the outdoor world at the zoo. Through imaginative play, sensory exploration, games and visits to animal habitats at the zoo campers will head outside, rain or shine, to investigate nature and the animal kingdom. 

Please send your camper with appropriate gear to be comfortable throughout the day. This camp will take place outside rain or shine.

 

 

Black Bear (6-8 years old): It's Raining Cats and Dogs


4-Day Mid-Winter Break Camp 


February 18 - February 21
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Ages 6-8
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Fee: $395

Description
Cats and dogs are everywhere! From the grasslands of Africa, to the taiga of Alaska, to the couches in our homes. Through outdoor games, imaginative play, sensory exploration and visits to the animal habitats at the zoo, campers will explore the different species of cats and dogs. This camp will take place outside rain or shine. Please send your camper with appropriate gear to be comfortable throughout the day.

Camp Waitlist

If your preferred camp session is full, you may register online for our camp waitlist. If space becomes available, we will contact waitlisted families with an offer and deadline for accepting the open space.

Please double check your confirmation, if you have registered for a waitlist we will contact you if we have an opening to finish your registration.

The zoo offers an Extended Day program for the convenience of parents and caretakers. Afternoon Extended Day is available year-round, and both morning and afternoon Extended Day are offered in summer.

Classes & Camps Scholarships

Woodland Park Zoo is pleased to provide limited scholarship opportunities for eligible families towards zoo classes or day camp programs. Summer camp scholarship applications are accepted beginning February 1 of each year and throughout the year for school break camps and classes.
