Bid on behind-the-scenes animal experiences and more at zoo keepers’ Holiday Silent Auction

The zoo keepers’ annual Holiday Silent Auction presents unique gifts ranging from behind-the-scenes experiences to artwork by animals. Join Woodland Park Zoo Friday, November 16 to guarantee your bids on the most desired holiday items.

WHAT

Behind-the-scenes jaguar tours, hippo feedings, and Family Farm animal experiences, what more could your loved ones ask for this holiday season?

Woodland Park Zoo presents its annual Holiday Silent Auction Friday, November 16. Enjoy sweets and treats at the afternoon bake sale, preview the auction and guarantee your bids on the most desired items before capping off the evening with dinner at the zoo.

The silent auction is held by the Puget Sound Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (PS-AAZK).

WHEN

Friday, November 16

12:00-2:00 p.m. Bake/lunch sale, auction preview and guaranteed bids
4:00-8:00 p.m. Silent auction and bake/dinner sale

WHERE

Woodland Park Zoo Education Center, located adjacent to the South Entrance at N. 50th St. and Fremont Ave. N. Free parking.

COST

Entrance to the auction is free. Access to the zoo is not included and requires zoo admission. Parking is free after 4:00 p.m.

Fall/winter hours: 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. daily. Admission: Adult (13-64) $11.75; Child (3-12) $8.50; Toddler (0-2) Free. Active, retired, and veteran U.S. military and their families, seniors and people with physical disabilities receive an admission discount. Zoo members receive free zoo admission year-round. Parking: $5.25.

Proceeds help support animal and habitat conservation projects around the world, the advancement of the zoo keeping profession and education outreach. PS-AAZK is a nonprofit volunteer organization made up of professional zoo keepers and other interested persons dedicated to professional animal care and conservation.
