Asian Small-Clawed Otter
Did you know?
Each individual otter has a unique scent. Like human fingerprints, the scent allows otters to recognize each other.
The Asian small-clawed otter is the smallest of the otter species and spends more time on land than many of its relatives.
Asian small-clawed otters are one of the most social otter species. Groups communicate to each other with at least 12 different vocalizations—each whistle, buzz and chirp has a distinct meaning.
