Featuring Guest Speaker and Conservation Leadership Award Honoree
Dr. Rodrigo Medellín
“The Bat Man of Mexico”

We were delighted to host over 300 civic, business, and education leaders and to have the opportunity to celebrate conservation leaders in our community. In an outstanding show of support, Thrive patrons helped put us on track to raise our goal of $300,000 for our community zoo, enabling us to inspire even more people to learn, care and act on behalf of wildlife and wild places.

The Leadership Awards dinner is one of two annual fundraising events upon which Woodland Park Zoo relies to provide the highest quality of care to our 1,200 animal ambassadors; build world-class, naturalistic exhibits; save endangered wildlife through conservation programs locally and around the world; and deliver science education programs to our friends of every age, from the youngest among us to lifelong learners.

It is not too late to make a gift to Thrive! With this gift, you are part of Woodland Park Zoo’s mission of building and protecting the powerful connections between animals and people―deep and moving experiences that extend far beyond our 92 acres in Seattle, through the minds and actions of millions of people each year.

We deeply appreciate your support of Woodland Park Zoo and the Thrive Leadership Awards. Enjoy the video from the Thrive Leadership Awards dinner below. We look forward to seeing you soon at the zoo!
