Woodland Park Zoo exhibits nearly 1,100 animals representing almost 300 different animal species. These range from insects and other invertebrates to the largest land mammal on the planet, the African elephant. Learn more about many of the animals by selecting the animal grouping above.

Exhibit areas are both indoor spaces, including the Tropical Rain Forest building which houses the Tropical Rain Forest dome with free-flying birds; Bug World with a host of invertebrates; the Day Exhibit with dozens of species of reptiles and amphibians; the Northern Trail Taiga Shelter with viewing areas showcasing grizzly bears, mountain goats, arctic foxes and river otters. In addition, there are several exhibits throughout the zoo with covered animal viewing areas, as well as Zoomazium, an indoor, nature-themed play area for children.
