Why is Woodland Park Zoo hosting this event?
Woodland Park Zoo is a gathering place for all people and aims to make conservation a priority in everyone’s lives. As a part of our mission, we have a commitment to diversity and inclusion so that all people have access to the zoo and the joy and connection that it has to offer. As a celebration of our commitment, we are excited to host the inaugural Women of Color Leading Change event.
What should I wear?
We encourage business casual attire. You will be on grass, so dress comfortably and appropriately (rain or shine). Heels should be avoided.
Is this event raising money for the zoo?
Yes! Ticket sales raise money to benefit Woodland Park Zoo’s Zoo for All initiative, advancing exciting new programs that remove economic, physical, linguistic, cultural or geographic barriers. Since this is an after-hours fundraising event, regular zoo membership admission does not apply.
Where do I park? How much does parking cost?
The best parking for this event is in the zoo’s Penguin, Otter and Bear lots located along Phinney Ave N. and N. 59th Street. Parking is complimentary with attendance (first come, first served).
Disabled parking is available in all zoo lots.
If you must park on the streets surrounding the zoo, please be courteous and do not block driveways.
What if I need additional accommodations?
