BECU ZOOTUNES

SEE CONCERTS. SAVE ANIMALS. SUPPORT LOCAL MUSIC.

ZOOTUNES UPDATE

Woodland Park Zoo is welcoming guests back to the meadow this summer for the 37th annual ZooTunes concert season!

Woodland Park Zoo has partnered with legendary Seattle radio station KEXP on a very unique and extraordinary ZooTunes concert season. This year’s line-up will be curated by KEXP and will focus solely on local musicians. Same as the zoo, so many artists and musicians were hit hard during the pandemic. We along with KEXP wanted to find a way to support our communities and bring people together in music.

ZooTunes is a key fundraising event for Woodland Park Zoo with proceeds going to support the zoo’s exemplary animal care, both local and global conservation programs and critically important education programs.

Changes in 2021

In accordance with the state and CDC safety guidelines, Woodland Park Zoo has implemented several policies to ensure a safe and fun environment for all ZooTunes’ guests this season.

  • Tickets are only available online this year and will not be sold at the Zoo gates
  • Children, two years of age and under, do not require a ticket to attend ZooTunes, provided they sit on the lap of an accompanying adult. Once a child turns three, they will need their own full-priced paid ticket to help us comply with our capacity allowance for our safety guidelines.
  • Member line: The member pre-sale benefit allows you to reserve the best pods before the general public, so we will not have an inner member line this year as it’s not necessary to get a good spot on the meadow.
  • North Gate entry. For safe entry for our Zoo visitors and ZooTunes ticket purchasers, concert entry has been temporarily re-located to the (old) North gate entry. This is located inside the Bear parking lot on N. 59th Street.
  • POD seating: Pods are available as two-person, four-person six-person or 10-person. Pods are safely spaced between each other with foot paths between pods to maintain social distancing.
  • No outside Food & Beverage will be allowed at any ZooTunes concerts this year. Sealed water bottles and empty refillable water bottles (non-glass) are acceptable. All refreshments must be purchased on site and we have an excellent selection of craft beer, wine, soda products, water and your choice off the grill.
  • Bag Check: Clear bags that are 16” x 16” x 5” or smaller are allowed in the venue provided that they do not contain items on our prohibited items list.
