CLOUD FOREST CLIMB

Play Cloud Forest Climb

Play Cloud Forest Climb to learn more about Tree Kangaroos in Papua New Guinea. First, help Lisa Dabek, a conservation scientist from Woodland Park Zoo, and Ecki, a field assistant, as they track Matchie’s Tree Kangaroos in the cloud forest of Papua New Guinea. Then play as those Tree Kangaroos climbing through the forests to find flowers to eat and a place to rest. 

It is available to play online and in the Apple App Store. 

Cloud Forest Climb was developed by the University of Washington’s EarthGames team, in partnership with Woodland Park Zoo and education research organization foundry10.  

Telling The Story 

The people in the YUS region of Papua New Guinea, in partnership with The Tree Kangaroo Conservation Program have been learning about Tree Kangaroos and changing livelihoods to protect biodiversity and ensure healthy lives and communities. Throughout the 30 years of the Tree Kangaroo Conservation program, the team has tracked and named many tree kangaroos and the tree kangaroos in this game are named for the real tree kangaroos of the region.
