In an effort to focus and enhance future programs, Zoo Adventures will only be offered during March through June 2018. The dates offered below are the most up to date schedule for Zoo Adventures.

Zoo Adventures 

Join us for an exciting look at the zoo after hours. Through guided tours in the evening and early morning, you will get the inside scoop on our animals from our amazing education staff members. 

Choose from the programs listed below to enjoy an event that caters to your interests! Then, choose the Zoo Adventure that fits your group, Large Groups, Small Groups or Scout Groups below for more information and to register!



Operation: Conservation

All over the world animals are endangered, but we can help! Learn about conservation around the world, tools researchers use in the wild and what actions you can take to save wildlife and their habitats. 



A Zookeeper's Life For Me

Join us for an exploration into the life of a zookeeper at Woodland Park Zoo as you investigate the triumphs of caring for some of the smallest and largest animals on earth. Learn about techniques zookeepers use to work with animals and try your hand at creating an enrichment item.

FOR SMALL GROUPS

Individuals, families and groups of fewer than 22 people

 

What are Small Group Zoo Adventures?

Small Group Zoo Adventures are for individuals, families and groups of fewer than 22 people who do not have enough participants to book a private adventure. Multiple parties will be combined to form a larger group of 22 to 75.

For all Small Group Zoo Adventures, guests can choose to register and pay for the Evening Adventure and end their experience at 10:00 p.m. or register and pay for the Overnight Adventure to sleep overnight and enjoy morning activities.

All Overnight Adventures include a light pizza dinner, light breakfast, evening and morning guided programs, and zoo re-entry admission in the morning. All Evening Adventures include a light pizza dinner and guided evening program. Prices are per person and are the same for children and adults. 

Age Requirements and Adult Participants

All children must be at least 7 years old and must be accompanied by adults at a minimum 1:6 ratio of adults to youth. All participants (children and adults) must register in advance and pay the appropriate per person rate (listed below).

 

Zoo Adventure: Operation Conservation

Saturday, March 3, Zoomazium

Overnight Adventure: 6:30 p.m.-9:30 a.m.
Evening Adventure: 6:30 p.m.-10 p.m.

Cost

Overnight Adventure: $57 per person
Evening Adventure: $42 per person

Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of registration.
If this poses a hardship, please contact the registration office.

Event Size/Multiple Parties

Please note that Small Groups Zoo Adventures include multiple parties combined to form a larger group of 22 to 75 people. You will be eating and enjoying activities as a part of this larger group. In addition, all parties will sleep in the same area. Groups will be smaller for touring zoo grounds.

What are Zoo Adventures for Large Groups?

If you have your own group containing 22 or more people (or pay for 22 people), you can have your own private Zoo Adventure!  Groups choose the date for their event on a first come, first serve basis. We welcome all types of groups including classrooms, community groups, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, college student groups, families, birthday parties, nature lovers, animal lovers or anyone who wants to enjoy a Zoo Overnight or Evening Adventure. Choose from any of the program offerings for the year. 

All Overnight Adventures include a light pizza dinner, light breakfast, evening and morning guided programs, and zoo re-entry admission in the morning. All Evening Adventures include a light pizza dinner and guided evening program.

Payment

$100 non-refundable deposit plus a $5 registration fee is required to book a date (submit check with application). Remaining balance (full payment) and final count for all participants must be received a minimum of 3 weeks in advance of the group's Zoo Adventure date.

What are Zoo Adventures for Scout Groups?

Zoo Adventures for Scout Groups are specific dates set aside for either Cub Scouts or Girl Scouts.  Multiple troops/packs will be booked for the same adventure to form a larger group of 22-75 participants. You will be eating and enjoying activities as a part of this larger group. In addition, all parties will sleep in the same area. Groups will be smaller for touring zoo grounds. Groups of 22 or more can register for their own date.

Buy a glow-in-the-dark Zoo Adventures t-shirt. Order in advance using our T-Shirt Order Form or purchase t-shirts on the night of your event. $15 each.

Other designs may be available the night of the event. Available sizes may vary.
