Giving Day

OUR ZOO. OUR DAY.

September 13, 2023

All for Animals

On Wednesday, September 15, 2022, 262 donors joined us on our 4th annual All for Animals Giving Day for 24 hours of giving back to their community zoo. Gifts of all sizes to our six different campaigns helped raise over $106,000 to make a difference for the animals in our care and in the wild!

By sponsoring or making a gift to All for Animals Giving Day, you support many aspects of Woodland Park Zoo. Whether you’re caring for animals, providing scholarships to help kids experience zoo camp, or funding species saving work at home and internationally, you are the heart of our mission and the force that keeps all of our work moving forward.

Community Support

In 2019, the zoo held its first ever Giving Day where we saw our community come together to raise more than $85,000 from 409 donors for wildlife conservation, best in class animal care, innovative programs and upgraded exhibit designs. In the last two years, 475 donors stepped up to give more than $100,000 each year to support our work during the depths of the pandemic and as we rebuilt. In 2022, we raised over $106,000 to help keep the zoo a Seattle cultural treasure and urban oasis of Northwest ecology for years to come.

Make an Impact

Support from people like you makes it possible for our zoo to remain a beloved, accessible community resource working to connect people with animals. Donations of all sizes can help heat a rhino stall, give a dedicated keeper a raise or feed a baby tapir. When you donate on All for Animals Giving Day, you help build a more flexible, adaptable, and resilient home for more than 900 animals, from tawny frogmouths to reticulated giraffes. A green oasis of hope for millions of guests a year, made accessible to all by the generosity of donors like you.
