Park Zoo is pleased to once again recognize the generous support
of Microsoft and Microsoft employees/alum's with a special Microsoft
Appreciation Day on Saturday, June 6, 2009.
Since 1985, Microsoft and its employees have been tremendous supporters
of the zoo, with gifts of cash, matching gifts, in-kind software
and volunteer hours totaling $15-$20 million!
We cordially invite current and former Microsoft employees** to
join us for a fun-filled day with family and friends at the zoo!
You will enjoy:
- 2-for-1 admission (limit two 2-for-1's per family or group) at
your Microsoft Prime Card or Microsoft AlumNet rate!
- Fun freebies for the kids (while supplies last)
- "Zoolympics" games,
animal encounter and scavenger hunt for the kids

Shelter at 10:30 a.m. and Zoolympics games for kids at 1:00 p.m.

in our Grizzly Bear exhibit of a non-safe campsite

- Feed
a giraffe! Between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
to 3:30 p.m. (separate fee applies)
- See
our new Humboldt Penguin Exhibit and hear a Penguin Keeper
Talk at 1:00 p.m.
- Meet
our Raptors: at 12:30 and 3:30, keepers will introduce you
to our resident birds of prey. Learn more about these hunters of
other birds, mammals and fish.
- African
Savanna Safari: join a Maasai interpreter for a safari
around the African Savanna at 11:00 a.m.

Park Zoo is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily from May 1 – September
30. For directions and more information, visit
the zoo's website. New this year: please
note that parking is now paid via parking meters in zoo parking
lots, instead of paying at entry gates.
If
possible, please enter at the zoo's North Gate off 59th Street
and Evanston and show your Prime Card or Microsoft Alumni Card.
The North Picnic Shelter - just inside the North Gate - will be
the designated meeting spot where you can pick up your complimentary
items and watch our animal presentations.
** Proof
of Microsoft employee or alumni status (Microsoft Prime Card for
employees or Microsoft Alumni Network membership card for alumni)
required for discounted rates and complimentary give-aways.

Visiting
the zoo? Please consider taking the bus, biking,
walking or carpooling. Conserving resources is one more way of
helping the animals
and
their habitats.
