thrive! Woodland Park Zoo’s annual spring fundraiser, entices over 400 of the Puget Sound region’s community leaders each year. thrive! is a vital fundraising vehicle that raises unrestricted support for Woodland Park Zoo, while honoring the zoo’s long-range goals. Each year, thrive! has been increasingly successful in raising much needed funds, generating event attendance and hosting a wonderful evening for our guests to celebrate the zoo!

Woodland Park Zoo is proud to announce our thrive! 2008 speakers are…Chris and Martin Kratt (a.k.a. The Kratt Brothers)!
Chris and Martin Kratt The Kratt brothers are zoologists by training and "creature adventurers" by habit. Their focus is to create and produce entertainment that features animals, teaches natural history and science, and engages and empowers people.

Kratts' Creatures, aired in 1996 for school-aged kids on PBS and has since premiered in over 30 countries and won many awards including back-to-back Best Children's Film at the Jackson Wildlife Film Festival and the Parents Choice Gold Award. Their second creation, Emmy Award-winning Zoboomafoo, premiered in 1999 and continues to air on PBS.

Each guest will have the opportunity to join Woodland Park Zoo’s "Safari Club", at thrive!. "Safari Club" members are community leaders who believe in supporting a living legacy by preserving our natural heritage through active support of the zoo's many programs.

"Safari Club" benefits include admission for a family of two adults and their children plus a guest each visit, four (4) one-time guest passes, an exclusive insider's newsletter, invitations to special donor events and activities including thrive! and Jungle Party and recognition in our Annual Report. Supporters at the "Safari Club" level are also invited to enjoy special behind-the-scenes opportunities, free parking in winter, @thezoo quarterly magazine, and a ZooStore discount.
