Amanda- Instructor

Hi, campers! This will be my third year of teaching Kinder Camp and I am so excited to be returning. I've just finished my degree in Environmental Science at Western Washington University, and I am really excited to teach you all about nature. I love to sing songs at camp and complete art projects, all between seeing the amazing animals at Woodland Park Zoo.

Ashlinne - Assistant

Hi everyone! My name is Ashlinne and I am so excited to be spending this summer with you at Woodland Park Zoo! I am originally from the paradise of Southern California and moved all the way up here to Seattle to study K-8 Education at Seattle University. I have always had a love for animals; my favorite is the Arctic fox. I love to explore and cannot wait to have fun this summer!

Daniel - Instructor

Hello friends! For as long as I can remember I've loved animals, and I've always wanted to share that love with everyone around me. That's why I got my degree in zoology at WSU, taught zoo camps in San Diego, went to China to teach last year, and now work with Woodland Park Zoo's overnight Zoo Adventures! I do my best to discover something new about the world around me every day, and I can't wait to discover more around the zoo this summer!

Emily - Instructor

Hi! My name is Emily, and I am excited to work Zoo Camps this year! This is my third summer at WPZ, and I’m excited to meet all of you. I recently graduated from the University of Washington, with a major in Early Childhood and Family Studies. During the school year, I work as a preschool teacher! I enjoy hiking, reading, playing Frisbee, and spending lots of time outdoors with my friends and family. I can't wait to see all of you this summer and have lots of fun!

Jane - Assistant

Hi, my name is Jane. The zoo is one of my favorite places! Throughout high school I have been in the ZooCorps Volunteer program. In the fall, I will be going to Western Washington University to study Environmental Science. This is my first summer working with Kinder Camp, but last summer I worked with Zoo Crew Outreach Education Summer Camp. When I am not at the zoo, you can find me in the outdoors backpacking or running. See you this summer!

Niko - Assistant

Hi! I’m Niko, and this is my third year at the zoo, but my first year as Kinder Camp staff! I’ll be a student at Western Washington University in the fall, where I’ll be studying for a degree in Environmental Studies. I’ve always loved animals and kids, and couldn’t be more excited to spend the summer with both! My favorite animal at the zoo is the Golden Lion Tamarin. In my free time, I’m usually making art, reading, writing, or hiking. See you this summer!

Quincy - Instructor

Hi! I’m Quincy and this summer will be my first working at Woodland Park Zoo. I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara where I majored in Environmental Studies, focusing on environmental education with young children. While in school, I worked at the YMCA caring for and teaching children about healthy lifestyles. After graduating, I worked at an animal hospital in San Francisco. I’m excited to meet every one this summer!

Tiffany - Assistant
