What:

During the winter school break, take a wildlife trek at Woodland Park Zoo’s Winter Celebration where you’ll enjoy a repertoire of animal behavior as selected animals receive holiday-themed treats such as wreaths with assorted fruit, evergreen trees with ornamental fruit, and boughs and wrapped boxes.

Winter Celebration is part of the zoo’s ongoing enrichment program to help enrich the lives of the zoo’s animals, promote natural animal behavior, keep animals mentally stimulated and provide added enjoyment for visitors.

When:
Wednesday-Friday December 20, 21, 22 and December 27, 28, 29, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. A schedule can be found on the zoo’s Web site at www.zoo.org and at zoo entries.

Winter Celebration is free with zoo admission. Visit www.zoo.org for a Rainy Day Tour map and a discount admission coupon to the zoo. Admission: Adult (13-64) $10.50; Child (3-12) $7.50; Toddler (0-2) Free. Seniors and disabled receive a discount and zoo members receive free zoo admission year-round. Parking: $4.00. Call Metro at 206.553.3000 for bus service to the zoo.

Visit the ZooStore near the South Entrance for unique gifts and zoo souvenirs. Hungry or thirsty? Stop by the Rain Forest Food Pavilion near the zoo’s West Entrance or the Outback Café on the east side of the zoo. Open daily during regular zoo hours.
