What:
Woodland Park Zoo and Washington Rare Plant Care and Conservation team
up to bring you “Celebrating Wildflowers,” an event
that promotes conservation and enjoyment of native plants in
their native habitats and in national forests. The event includes
information about rare wildflowers and games and activities for
all ages such as: wildflower coloring pages; conifer identification
by its cones; a pollinator game; leaf rubbing; and much more.
Rare Care is a program of the Center for Urban Horticulture.
When:
Saturday, May 21, 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Where:
Celebrating Wildflowers will be held in Woodland Park Zoo’s Family
Farm. Enter through the South Entrance at N. 50th St. & Fremont
Ave. N.
Cost:
Free with zoo admission. Zoo admission: Adult (13-64) $10; Child (3-12) $7;
Toddler (0-2) Free. Seniors and disabled receive a discount and zoo members
receive free zoo admission year-round.
