What:
Fall harvest means pumpkins for Woodland Park Zoo’s pachyderms – hippos and elephants – as they crunch, munch or stomp on the orange treats. Media are invited to the Pumpkin Bash Thursday, October 28, at the hippo pool and Elephant Forest.

Pumpkin Bash will be held for zoo-goers Saturday and Sunday, October 30-31 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at various exhibits throughout the zoo. A full schedule is on the zoo’s Web site. The activities are free with zoo admission.

The pumpkin treats are part of the zookeepers’ ongoing efforts to help enrich the lives of the zoo’s animals, promote natural animal behavior and provide added enjoyment for visitors.
