What:
Hear Laurie Marker tell her remarkable story of a lifetime dedicated to saving
the world’s fastest runner, the cheetah. Must a cheetah be taught
to hunt, or is the process fully instinctual? Her unique research gives
a chance for captive-born cheetahs to get back to the wild. Laurie’s
solutions for the conflict between livestock, farmers, and cheetahs in
Namibia are truly unique, and make for an inspiring evening! In 2000, Dr.
Marker was recognized as one of Time Magazine’s Heroes for the Planet.
