Woodland Park Zoo presents Festival for the Birds

What:
In celebration of International Migratory Bird Day (IMBD), Woodland Park Zoo presents Festival for the Birds sponsored by Planet. Sit back and enjoy live music while sipping a delicious cup of shade-grown coffee. Flock to the variety of activities and bird demonstrations designed to help you rediscover some of the wildlife in your own backyard.

Planned activities include: bird feeder building; bird encounters; raptors-in-flight programs; bird banding demonstrations; a variety of bird conservation booths; Wild Wise presentations; live entertainment, a shade-grown coffee garden and more.

When:
Saturday, May 17, 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Where:
Festival for the Birds will be held in Woodland Park Zoo's Family Farm near the South Gate at N. 50th St. & Fremont Ave. N.

Cost:
Free with zoo admission. Zoo members receive free zoo admission year-round. Admission ranges from free for toddlers to $10.00 for adults; King County residents receive a discount.

Zoo admission: Adult (18-64) $10.00; Senior (65+) and Student with ID $9.25; Youth (6-17) and Disabled $7.50; Preschool (3-5) $5.25; Toddler (0-2) Free. King County residents: Adult (18-64) $9.00; Senior (65+) and Student with ID $8.25; Youth (6-17) and Disabled $6.75; Preschool (3-5) $4.75; Toddler (0-2) Free. Zoo members receive free zoo admission year-round.

Parking: $3.50. Parking is limited. Please call Metro at 206-553-3000 for bus service to the zoo.
