What:
Don’t miss Woodland Park Zoo’s pumpkin bash! Watch hippos crunch them, grizzlies smash them, tiger cubs pounce on them, pygmy marmosets crawl inside them and more! Pumpkin bash is part of the zookeepers’ ongoing efforts to help enrich the lives of the zoo’s wildlife residents and for the enjoyment of zoo visitors.

-Jaguar, 10:00 a.m., Tropical Rain Forest
-Hippos, 10:30 a.m., African Savanna, hippo pool
-Sloth bears, 11:00 a.m., Asian bears
-Sun bears, 11:30 a.m., Asian bears
-Grizzlies, 11:30 a.m., Northern Trail – Taiga Viewing Shelter
-Orangutans, 11:30 a.m., Trail of Vines – indoors
-Otters, 11:45 a.m., Northern Trail – Taiga Viewing Shelter
-Cougar, noon, Adaptations Building – outdoors
-Fennec fox, 12:30 p.m., Adaptations Building – indoors
-Pygmy marmosets, 1:00 p.m., Adaptations Building – indoors
-Elephants, 1:00 p.m., Elephant Forest – south yard (Elephant Barn if raining)
-Gorillas, 1:00 p.m., Tropical Rain Forest – East Gorilla Viewing Shelter
-Gorillas, 1:20 p.m., Tropical Rain Forest – West Gorilla Viewing Shelter
-Tiger cubs, 1:30 p.m., tiger grotto
-African wild dogs, 2:00 p.m., African Savanna

Info:

Winter hours: 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. daily. Zoo opens at 9:30 a.m. daily, 365 days of the year. Closing times vary: 5:00 p.m. March 15 through April 30; 6:00 p.m. May 1 through September 14; 5:00 p.m. September 15 through October 14; 4:00 p.m. October 15 through March 14.

Zoo admission: Adult (18-64) $10.00; Senior (65+) and Student with ID $9.25; Youth (6-17) and Disabled $7.50; Preschool (3-5) $5.25; Toddler (0-2) Free. King County residents: Adult (18-64) $9.00; Senior (65+) and Student with ID $8.25; Youth (6-17) and Disabled $6.75; Preschool (3-5) $4.75; Toddler (0-2) Free. Zoo members receive free zoo admission year-round.

Parking: $3.50. Parking is limited. Please call Metro at 206-553-3000 for bus service to the zoo.

Food/Gifts: If you are hungry, thirsty, or just looking for a snack, visit the Rain Forest Food Pavilion near the zoo’s West Gate or the Outback Café on the east side of the zoo. Open daily during regular zoo hours. Visit the ZooStore near the South Gate for unique gifts and zoo souvenirs. Open daily during regular zoo hours.
