ZooTunes
Jr. ushers in its childrens concerts with family artist
Tom Chapin on July 20. The Monday series follows up with
M-Pact July 27; Symphony de la Steel and the
Toucans on August 3; and Tim Noah on August 10.
Concerts
are held outdoors in the zoos North Meadow with festival
seating. Concert-goers are welcome to bring blankets and low-backed
patio chairs. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available
for sale. Law prohibits alcoholic beverages on zoo grounds.
Concerts benefit the zoos various conservation projects
and general fund.

is free, but limited. Parking is also available at lower Woodland

Tickets
go on sale beginning June 6 at Zi¢
Pani¢ cafes, with limited tickets available at Woodland Park Zoo
gates. Tickets are $5; 2 and under are free. A $1 service charge
is added to tickets purchased at any of the 20 local Zi¢ Pani¢
cafes. If available, tickets will be for sale only at the zoo
on the day of each concert. |

20 Tom Chapin * With a gift of music and his personal warmth,

3 Symphony de la Steel * Bringing
the sounds of the Caribbean to the Northwest, Symphony de la Steel
is dedicated to bringing traditional and authentic steel drum
music to wherever they may be. |

Toucans
* Playing calypso, reggae, soca,
samba and more, the Toucans blend tradition and innovation with
steel drum style and energy that wont quit. Not only do
they bring the sounds of the Caribbean, but a view into another
culture for all involved to experience. |

10 Tim Noah * Emmy award-winning
songwriter Tim Noah brings messages of positive self-worth and
imagination to his performances for children. He received the
1992 Parents Choice Award for his release, "Supertunes,"
and he has been seen by many in his special on HBO and The Disney
Channel. |
