Credit Card Payments

Woodland Park Zoo Education Department accepts the following credit cards:

      

 

Outreach Registration

Register to bring the zoo to your school, class or organization

Scheduling Information
  • Outreach programs are available to King County schools only.
  • Programs are offered September through May during regular school hours (Up CLOSE programs not available on Mondays)
  • Maximum number of programs per day:
  •    2 for Up CLOSE
  •    4 for Wild Wise
Fees
  • $160 for the first program
  • $110 for each additional program*
  • $27 for an Up CLOSE Discovery Kit rental (optional)

* To receive this discount, the additional Up CLOSE program must be the same type of program as the first and be presented within 90 minutes of the start time for the first program

Free Up CLOSE Programs

King County schools with a minimum of 30% of their students participating in the free or reduced-rate lunch program qualify to receive Up CLOSE programs for FREE (availability is limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis). You can verify your school's demographics, according to the Office of the Superintendent's Washington state Report card, http://reportcard.ospi.k12.wa.us.)

Registration and Program Requirements

You will be required to include a $27 non-refundable deposit with your registration. This payment can be made in the form of check, purchase order or credit card. If you change your date more than three weeks before the scheduled program date this deposit will carry over to the new date. If you reschedule less than three weeks before the program date you will need to include another $27 deposit.

  • 1 hour is required for set-up before the first indoor presentation and 20 minutes after the last indoor presentation for break-down
  • Indoor presentations and Outdoor Explorations are each approximately 1 hour in length. All indoor presentations need to be presented in the same room (Outdoor Exploration locations may vary if desired)
  • Please have students bring pencils to both the indoor presentations and Outdoor Explorations
  • Indoor presentations must take place in a room that can be darkened

 

Up CLOSE    
Registration and Program Requirements         

You will be required to include a $27 non-refundable deposit with your registration (All schools will need to include the deposit even if receiving the programs at no cost.). This payment can be made in the form of check, purchase order or credit card. If you change your date more than three weeks before the scheduled program date this deposit will carry over to the new date. If you reschedule less than three weeks before the program date you will need to include another $27 deposit.  

  • Maximum group size is 80 per program for raptor programs and 60 per program for reptile and arthropod programs
  • Due to animal health and safety needs reptile and arthropod programs can be scheduled together, but cannot be scheduled on the same day as a raptor program
  • To ensure the safety and comfort of the animals please read your registration form and confirmation letter carefully
  • Additional Up CLOSE programs must be presented within 90 minutes of the start time for the first program
