Understanding the wildlife of East Africa also means knowing about the people who share the land. The Maasai are a herding culture living primarily on the savannas of southern Kenya and Tanzania. Several Maasai have joined us to present stories of their lives and the impact that wildlife has on them. The zoo supports the African Dams & Waterhole Project in Maasailand.
