2009 FUND-OUR-FUTURE: Save A Species
We have more than 40 endangered species represented at Woodland Park Zoo and each and every one of them is an ambassador for the ecosystem. From the African Elephant to the Malayan tapir, the Sumatran tiger to the Panamanian golden frog, these valuable creatures offer unparalleled opportunities to educate about human impact upon wild species living in ecosystems across the globe, from the African plains all the way to the forests of Indonesia.

Funds raised for Save a Species will:

  • Support the successful recovery of threatened species in the wild
  • Support WPZ conservation programs for endangered species, including the research and conservation of the African Elephant: Protecting Migration Corridors in the Tarangire Ecosystem
  • Support our education programs
  • Support several exhibit upgrades
  • Provide the opportunity to sponsor the daily care of a cherished endangered species for an entire year
