Jungle Party Animal Tours

General Tours are open to all Jungle Party guests and depart continuously from 4:45 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (keepers will be on site until 6:30 pm). A Woodland Park Zoo volunteer docent will escort the interested parties to the exhibits listed below. No reservations required.

African and Asian Elephants

See our elephants meandering through rolling terrain in the Elephant Forest where they spend their time exploring, dusting, grazing and splashing at the pool! Their keepers will be at the exhibit to answer all of your elephant questions!

Western Lowland Gorillas

Did you know that adult male gorillas eat about 30 pounds of food per day?! You’ll learn many interesting facts and what Woodland Park Zoo is doing to help save these great apes from extinction when you visit youngster Uzumma and the rest of our western Lowland gorillas.

Asian Small-Clawed Otters

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to meet the zoo’s Asian small-clawed otter duo, their four boys born last summer and their four pups born in January! Learn more about these playful otters from a knowledgeable keeper and watch (and listen to their chirps and squeals!) the family of 10 grooming and tumbling over each other, swimming and playing on the marshy beach in their new exhibit.

New to 2014! The fastest land mammals on the planet have come to Woodland Park Zoo! Watch our new pair of female cheetahs roam and interact, while their keeper teaches you all about caring for these large cats. The cheetahs are our feature exhibit for the summer of 2014.

Humboldt Penguins

Discover Humboldt penguins not from a land of ice, but from a desert by the sea as they “fly” underwater, splash and dive. Enjoy multiple underwater viewing areas in this award-winning exhibit. Enjoy a personal keeper talk to hear about the lives of these unique birds from the coastal deserts of Peru and Chile. Learn about the plight of these appealing, endangered birds, and how you can be inspired to act on behalf of penguin conservation.

*Tours are open to all Jungle Party guests and depart continuously from 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
