PAID receipt, volunteers retrieve their auction items.

  • LIVE AUCTION COMPUTER OPERATOR
One volunteer operates the laptop designated for the Live Auction. As the auctioneer announces the guest’s winning bid number, the computer operator enters the bid number. By doing so, the guest's name appears on the auctioneer's prompter so he may thank the bidder by name.
    Time Commitment: 4 hours

  • LIVE AUCTION RECORDER
Recorder writes the winning bid amount and bidder number on the proper bid sheet and hands it to the Live Auction Runner who gathers the winning bidder's signature. Every five minutes, Recorder asks a Runner to deliver signed bid sheets to Bank.
    Time Commitment: 4 hours

  • LIVE AUCTION RUNNER
Runner retrieves Live Auction bid sheet from the Live Auction Recorder and takes it to the winning bidder for his/her signature. At the same time, the runner delivers a gift to the winning bidder and returns the signed bid sheet back to the Live Auction Recorder. At the direction of the Live Auction Recorder, the Runner delivers signed bid sheets to Bank every 5-10 minutes during the Live Auction.
    Time Commitment: 4 hours

  • LIVE AUCTION SPOTTER
Spotters help the auctioneer locate guests bidding on Live Auction items. They do so by quickly pointing a flashlight at the auctioneer from the bidder’s position. When the auction item has been successfully bid on, a Spotter does the same from the winning bidder’s position, which helps the Live Auction Runner locate him/her. Spotter must stay put by the winning bidder until the Runner arrives to his/her location.
    Time Commitment: 4 hours

    Time Commitment: 4 hours

  • TOTALER
Totaler records all Live Auction winning bids on a tally sheet and keeps a running total, which is reported to the auctioneer upon request. Totaler also keeps a running total page in the master totaler catalog.
    Time Commitment: 4 hours

  • GIVEAWAY SALES, CENTERPIECE & GUEST SERVICES
In teams of two, volunteers promote and sell the Ben Bridge Giveaway and Live Auction table centerpieces during the reception and Live Auction. Volunteers collect completed bid sheets and deliver them to Bank throughout the evening. Immediately following the event, volunteers package all table centerpieces and merchandise for delivery the week after.
**Volunteers must be willing to learn Jungle Party facts because guests will inevitably ask them questions while performing this job. Sample questions are…Where are the Live Auction bid cards located? What time does Bank open for checkout? When does the Super Silent Auction close? Can someone assist us with our auction items to the car? Who is the caterer? Are peanuts in the menu? All of this information will be provided at volunteer training.
    Time Commitment: 5 hours

  • REGISTRATION
Volunteers label and alphabetize 900 bidder bracelets the night prior to Jungle Party. During the event, volunteers welcome and check-in Jungle Party guests, process new ticket purchases, confirm guest contact information for existing reservations, handout bidder bracelets and auction catalogs, answer guest questions, sell merchandise and deliver guest change forms to Bank.
Time Commitment: Two shifts over two days, 3 hours and 4.5 hours

  • SILENT AUCTIONS I & II
Volunteers oversee and secure auction items and bid sheets in Silent Auctions I & II, assist guests with questions and look for guaranteed bids. Volunteers close Silent Auctions I & II in a timely and organized manner, circle the winning bid on each bid sheet and deliver top copy of bid sheet to the Team Captain who then delivers to Bank. After Silent Auctions I & II close, volunteers assist the Item Safekeeping Team with packaging and boxing auction items, taping bottom copy of bid sheet to the auction item’s box and organizing them by bidder number in preparation for guest pickup.
    Time Commitment: 5 hours
