Procurement volunteers secure donations from January 1 to May 1 for Jungle Party’s silent and live auctions. In 2008, 6 procurement volunteers secured 800 auction items valued at $440,000! Donations fall under the following categories: art, jewelry, entertainment, trips, sports, home & garden, food & wine, family and lifestyles. Procurement volunteers utilize personal contacts, call upon community businesses and solicit local organizations for exciting and unique auction items and experiences.
While volunteers are assigned to a Procurement Team, procurement volunteers work independently and devise their own work schedule. Whether or not you have prior procurement experience, the Jungle Party staff provides all the materials and training necessary to be a successful procurement volunteer.
