Our
Employees are Learning More with the Birnbaum Zoobright Scholarship
Fund!
The
Birnbaum Zoobright Scholarship Fund provides Woodland Park
Zoo employees with scholarship awards to pursue special professional
development opportunities related directly to the zoo’s
mission. Awards are made on a competitive basis, open to any
employee who has worked for the zoo for at least two years.
Over
the past three years the Birnbaum Zoobright Scholarship Fund
has provided twelve Woodland Park Zoo employees with funding
for educational exchanges, travel, professional development and
personal growth.
Funded
by a generous endowment gift from Z. William and Hilde Birnbaum,
the Zoobright program is an important resource that enables the
zoo to support the unique personal and professional needs of
its employees.
Opportunities
supported by Zoobright Scholarships have already resulted in
studies, research, training and professional exchanges that have
been shared with and benefited conservation organizations and
zoos around the world.
