Woodland Park Zoo is committed to providing a place where children and adults can thrive and learn. In order to do this we conduct criminal background investigations on all new employees and volunteers of Woodland Park Zoo.

It is also the zoo's desire to provide a drug-free, healthful and safe workplace. No employee may use, possess, distribute, sell or be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs. In support of this policy, post-hiring drug testing may be performed under certain circumstances such as, but not limited to, reasonable cause or suspicion or following an accident.
