Member and donor events

Tuesday, April 6, 2010 - 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Education Center - Zoo's South Entrance

Join us for an evening of conversation as we look at evolving sustainable practices in our community. The green movement has been growing in local homes, businesses and of course, here at the zoo. Join Maintenance Operations Manager EJ Hook for a look at what Woodland Park Zoo is doing to set an example for sustainable practices in our community. Also joing the conversation will be WPZ Board member, Kelly Ogilvie. As President & CEO of Blue Marble Energy, Kelly will share an overview of his company and how it works to convert waste into useful, everyday products. Ladd Smith of InHarmony: Sustainable Landscapes will also share how his business helps provide design, installation and care for landscapes that are healthy for people, pets and the environment. Come and learn how local organizations are working to protect the environment and what you can do in your home to help make a difference.

Please RSVP by Tuesday, March 30, 2010, to rsvp.wah@zoo.org or call 206.548.2412.

Space is limited to the first 200 guests.

Accommodations for persons with disabilities, or guests needing special assistance are available upon request. A two-week notice is required for sign language interpreters. TTY 206.548.2599.
