Leap Day at the Zoo!

Wednesday, February 29th from 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Leap to Woodland Park Zoo to celebrate amazing amphibians! Experience hands-on, frog-themed activities, crafts and staff-led discovery stations in the zoo's Education Center. Enjoy puppet shows and interactive activities about frogs in Zoomazium, including scavenger hunts to earn Nature Exchange points. On zoo grounds, hear from our dedicated zookeepers about caring for and conserving endangered amphibians, including ways that you can help!

Cost: Activities are included with the school rate zoo admission of $6.00 per person. By registering three weeks in advance (link to iEBMS) homeschools can qualify for the reduced admission school rate. Space is limited!

Homeschool Days

Each fall Woodland Park Zoo offers Homeschool Days opportunities.  Homeschool students and parents are invited to the zoo for a day of hands-on workshops and activities. There are self-directed discovery stations, structured learning opportunities for various ages, and self-guided exploration of zoo grounds.

There are no Homeschool Days scheduled at this time.  Dates for fall Homeschool Days will be posted by June 15.

For the most up to date information, register to receive Zoo Edition.

Other Program Opportunities

Homeschool groups are welcome to participate in ZEST (Zoo Experiences for Students and Teachers) docent-guided programs.

ZEST programs are available late September through April. We request a minimum of ten students spanning no more than three grade levels for homeschool participation in these programs.
