Walkin’ and Rollin’
Feel like you haven’t spoken a full sentence in ages? Want to get out and about and learn something? Here is a fun opportunity for you and your little one! We will start the morning with play and music. Then we bundle the little ones into their strollers and set off to explore the zoo. Each week we will venture into a different area of the zoo to learn about the zoo’s awesome animals. We will end each class with “grown-up” time—coffee and socializing with other adults and play time for the kids.

Ages: Adults and children birth to 18 months
Fees: $70 per 6-week session each parent/child pair
9208: Tuesdays, June 24th through July 29th, 9:45-11:00 a.m. (6 weeks)

Tiny Tyke Time
Tiny Tyke Time is an excellent opportunity for toddlers and parents to learn exciting things. Start with some private time in Zoomazium before it opens. Each week venture to a new area of the zoo to learn about animals and their ecosystems. Each tour session will provide information and activities at parent and children levels.

Ages: Adults and children 18-36 months
Fees: $90 per 6-week session each parent/child pair
9218: Mondays, June 23 through July 28, 9-10:30 a.m. (6 weeks)
9228: Wednesdays, June 25 through July 30, 9-10:30 a.m. (6 weeks)
9238: Thursdays, June 26 through July 31, 9-10:30 a.m. (6 weeks)

Baby Signing and Animals
Using sign language increases communication between you and your baby, reduces tantrums and helps to strengthen parent and child bonds…and it is FUN!!! Join Karen Ofsthus, sign language interpreter and zoo naturalist, for a new view of the zoo. We will tour the zoo grounds while learning ASL signs for zoo animals as well as signs useful around the home. Whether you have never used sign language or already have a good vocabulary, you will find this class fun and informative.

Ages: Adults and children birth to 24 months
Fees: $90 per 3-week session each parent/child pair

Join us for these classes in which you and your toddler explore the amazing animal world through full-body play and interactive experiences. All activities are geared towards 2-4 year olds, however, due to the structure of this class, parents are welcome to bring younger siblings for free. Please note: we will not be toruing zoo grounds, but encourage you to do so after the program.

Ages: Adults and children 2-4 years.
Fee:
$20 per adult/child pair, $7 each additional family member 2-4 yrs

These are programs specially designed for preschoolers to attend with an adult. Series classes include zoo walks, stories, crafts and more! For the safety and enjoyment of everyone, please do not bring younger children.

Fee for all three classes of a series: $70 for each adult/child pair, $25 each additional child (If you would like to attend only one class, the fee is: $25 each adult/child pair per class, $10 each additional child).

Ages: Adults and children 3-4 years

Kinderzoo Series: Winnie-the-Pooh at the Zoo
Bring your favorite Pooh character and join us as we sing songs, read stories and meet the friends of that silly old bear. From Piglets to Tiggers, we will visit the real animals behind the residents of the Hundred-Acre Wood!

These are programs specially designed for preschoolers to attend with an adult. For the safety and enjoyment of everyone, please do NOT bring younger children.

Fees: $20 each adult/child pair; $10 each additional child.
Ages: Adults and children 3-4 years

Bunny Tales
Peter Cottontail, the Easter bunny and the velveteen rabbit to name a few...our bunnies have many famous relatives! Join us for a fun-filled time hearing tales of our bunnies. You will even have the chance to meet and touch one!

Elephants
They lumber, they slumber, they are just a wonder! Join us in this class to learn more about the amazing world of elephants.

3158SP: May 3, 10-11:30 a.m. - Full

Exploring and Log Rolling
Explore nature with your child at the zoo. We will start this class outside, and then finish up by making crafts inspired by our discoveries.

Animal Artists
Ever wonder what those elephants and orangutans are up to in their free time? Get a chance to see art created by these masters, and then make some of your own.

Music Makers
Musicians are everywhere in the animal kingdom, from the song of a Siamang to the tweet of a bird. Join us to listen to some of these sounds, and then make our own musical animal craft.

Camouflage
Want to be better at hide and seek? Learn the tricks of our animal friends and blend in to your environment. Practice your own camouflage against different backdrops.

How do bats see? Are they good parents? What do they eat? Come find out all these things and more as we explore the world of bats.
