What are Zoo Adventures for Organized Groups?

Zoo Adventures for organized groups are for groups with 25 or more people. Groups choose the date for their event on a first come, first serve basis. We welcome all types of groups including classrooms, community groups, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, families, birthday parties, nature lovers, animal lovers or anyone who wants to enjoy a Zoo Overnight or Evening Adventure. Children must be 7 years or older and must be accompanied by adults at a minimum 1:6 ratio of adults to youth. If you do not have an organized group of 25 or more you may attend a General Public Zoo Adventure

Where do we sleep and how much does it cost?
Overnighters will sleep in one of two buildings depending on the location chosen at the time of registration. The price difference only applies for Overnight Adventures.

Education Center
Fee: $40 per person
The Education Center, near the south gate, is the building where Overnights have traditionally been held. It offers comfortable economy accommodations and allows for about 80 people to sleep in two large rooms under the same roof.

Zoomazium
Fee: $46 per person
Our program space in Zoomazium, near the West Gate, offers the vibrant environment of an indoor nature play-space and can accommodate larger groups in one sleeping space (over 120 people).

If you need more information on the two sleeping spaces please call the Registrar at 206.548.2424.

Note: Regardless of which building you sleep in your group will be sleeping on the floor, so we highly recommend sleeping pads!

What animals will we see?
You'll see lots of amazing creatures during your visits to zoo exhibits and at our exciting animal encounter. There's no guarantee, however, on what we'll see while prowling on zoo grounds. As in the wild, animals may choose to remain hidden, or may be off exhibit for a number of reasons. As a result, every Zoo Adventure is unique in the animals that are seen in exhibit areas. But if you're quiet, there's a great chance you'll see lots of fantastic wild animals
.

What do we eat?
Now offering dinner! A pizza dinner with soda and coffee will be provided. Overnight participants will also enjoy a scrumptious continental breakfast (consisting of muffins, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, juice and coffee) which is sure to get you up and running! Please feel free to bring your own snacks to enjoy before bedtime. Special diets are the responsibility of individual program attendees.
