Field conservation projects map

Woodland Park Zoo supports 38 projects in more than 50 countries with one goal: ensure a future for wildlife in partnership with local communities.

Our conservation partners are working to save species, from the world's largest land mammal, the African elephant, to a tiny Tahitian snail. We invest in a diverse group of projects, just as we care for a diverse group of animals here at Woodland Park Zoo. You can find animal ambassadors for most of these projects here at the zoo as we always strive to make connections between the animals we care for and their counterparts in the wild. Conservation updates are located throughout the zoo's exhibit areas as new information, new challenges and new successes occur.

Your support goes directly to the field to support species conservation, habitat protection, local capacity building, and livelihood projects that build support for conservation among communities living alongside endangered wildlife. But we need your help to do this important work. Only through your support can we continue to support projects that save animals in the wild and their habitats.

People, wildlife and habitats---this linkage is key to creating sustainable solutions.
