Conservation Reports:
Since
1998, Woodland Park Zoo has funded 346 conservation grants
to 95 different projects in nearly four dozen countries.
These investments go directly into the field to support
species survival, habitat restoration, and capacity-building
and education in local communities, garnering the zoo 17
awards for innovative approaches to global wildlife conservation.
Woodland Parks uses unique, community-based approaches which
involve local communities in every aspect of conservation
including field research, habitat management, and species
protection in order to create effective and integrated projects
that work for people and wildlife.
