This 2015 annual plan for Woodland Park Zoo is submitted to the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation as specified by the Zoo Operations and Management Agreement between the City of Seattle and the Woodland Park Zoological Society. The purpose of the annual plan is to highlight any major program changes, capital improvements or other key developments to improve the zoo as a community-wide asset.
NOTE: The formal public comment period for the 2015 Annual Plan is now closed, but Woodland Park Zoo always remains open to public comment.

2013 Report to the Community
We’re pleased to share our 2013 Report to the Community, featuring many important things that you helped us accomplish! Among them were record-breaking achievements in membership and visitor attendance, and completing the More Wonder More Wild Campaign last December.

Consolidated revenues of operating and capital for 2014 are budgeted at $39 million. The zoo’s finances comprise three key areas:
Earned revenues (admissions, membership, community events, etc.) account for 56% of total operating revenues
Public funding sources provide 30% of the zoo’s support, including City of Seattle and King County Parks Levy
Private contributions from individuals and foundations provide the remaining 14%
