School and Group Visits to the Zoo

What To Do At the Zoo?

Zoomazium

Zoomazium is a terrific place for parents and their young children to explore nature indoors. Because children require close supervision to play safely in Zoomazium, this building can be challenging for school groups. School groups, especially 2nd grade and under, are welcome to enjoy Zoomazium during their school visit. Please have no more than three children per chaperone when you visit Zoomazium, and supervise them closely to ensure their safety.

School groups will be admitted to Zoomazium on a first-come, first-served basis according to building capacity. If the building is at capacity when you arrive, please consider coming back a little later during your visit.

Daily Activities

Throughout the year there are different activities and programs occurring on grounds.  Look at the Daily Activities schedule to see what might be happening during your visit.

ZooStore

You are welcome to browse through the zoo’s gift store located inside the zoo’s South Gate. Due to limited space, groups of school children are allowed inside the store only when accompanied by an adult in the ratio of one (1) adult for every six (6) students. This ratio is strictly monitored.

Registration

Ready to register for your trip to the zoo?  Simply click here to open the registration form.  Once you have filled out the form, mail it, fax it or deliver it yourself to the Education Center at Woodland Park Zoo.  Make sure to get your application in early!  A minimum of three weeks advance notice is required for booking your zoo visit.  Don't forget to have your principal sign your application form, it cannot be accepted without that signature!
